5/30/17 - Kyra is currently being bred to a beautiful Friesian Stallion in Northern Iowa. The foal will be for sale. Kyra has been started under saddle and doing well. I also feel she would be a great driving horse. For more information concerning this 2018 Friesian foal, please contact Kim at (402)660-8558 or email for more information.

We all have "bucket lists" and one of the items on my bucket list was to someday own a Friesian!!!! Well, I have marked that OFF my list as I am very proud to introduce you to Kyra. Kyra was purchased in-utero from a farm up in Minnesota. I was thrilled the day the farm owner called me to congratulate me on the birth of my new baby girl!! I am learning as we go but Kyra is so sweet and the Friesian breed is super cool! ALMOST as cool as my Morgans!! She is the same age as Loess Hills Shes Allspice, aka "Tinkerbell", and it has been a blast watching them grow up together and how the differences in the breeds become evident. The picture of Kyra above was taken while she was still in Minnesota. She arrived home at Loess Hills in late August 2011. I will load updated pictures of her sometime soon. We never do anything "small" here at Loess Hills, and that will definitely hold true in regards to Kyra. I expect her to be at least 16 hands at maturity. A real sweetheart. Enjoy some younger pictures of her and of her dam and sire.
Taken October 3, 2015. Kyra was not being very photogetic on this day!! She stands now right at 16H. A big girl!!!
Here are some pictures of Kyra as a weanling while she was still in Minnesota at her breeders.
